Copyright and DMCA policy

Last updated: 2026-10-01

We respect intellectual property. We respond to notices that comply with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. 512) and to equivalent notices under other laws.

1. How to send a notice

Send your notice through the contact form with the topic "Copyright notice". The form will ask for each element below. A notice must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature (a typed full name is fine);
  • identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed;
  • identification of the material on this site you say infringes, with its URL;
  • your contact information, including an email address;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
  • a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

2. Counter-notification

If material you supplied was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notification through the same form. It must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the material removed and the URL where it appeared;
  • a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed by mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the notice.

We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after we receive a valid counter-notification, unless the person who sent the notice tells us they have filed a court action.

3. False notices

Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages.

4. Repeat infringers

The site has no user uploads. Our repeat infringer policy therefore applies to any material contributed to the site: we will stop accepting contributions from anyone who repeatedly infringes.

5. Forwarding notices

We may forward a notice or counter-notification to the party concerned.
